Culture

The culture of the city started to develop a little late, as the level of urbanization is considerably lower than for long time indicators of similar-sized municipalities. The real cultural evolution therefore only started in the second half of the 19th century, which was, even more, the impetus to the Compromise. It is worth mentioning the Great Plains permanent stone theater, Békéscsabai Jókai Theater, the city's famous painting Jerold, named after Mihály Munkácsy Munkácsy Mihály Museum. Since Békéscsaba for centuries, it has been an important center of Hungarian-Slovak reality, which is why the Slovak Village Museum is located here. It plays an important role in public education in the city of Bekes County Skills Center and Library. There is some multicultural life in Bekescsaba. You can find Polish, Slovakian people so that they can find their religious rights.
